HOW IT WORKS
Chemical earthing is a modern grounding system designed to maintain low earth resistance and provide reliable electrical safety. In this system, a metal grounding electrode is buried deep in the soil. Around the electrode, a special low-resistivity chemical compound is filled to improve conductivity and ensure effective dissipation of fault current into the ground.
The compound retains moisture and maintains stable performance even in dry conditions. A vertical pipe is installed to add water when needed, helping to keep the surrounding area moist and conductive.
During an electrical fault, the current flows through the grounding conductor to the electrode and safely disperses into the earth. This protects people, electrical equipment, and infrastructure from shocks, short circuits, and fire hazards. Chemical earthing offers long-lasting, corrosion-resistant, and low-maintenance performance.
